What is the Seawater Desalination RO System?
The core process of desalination is the Reverse Osmosis Process, mainly used to treat the salty water with high TDS more than 10000ppm. It consists of a High pressure pump followed by an Energy Recovery device and the Reverse Osmosis Membranes.
In this process sea water is forced against semi-permeable membranes under pressure in a continuous flow condition. The high salt content of sea water requires that the operating pressure for Reverse Osmosis must be between 60-70 bar. As the water permeates through the membrane most of the dissolved impurities removed and 99.5% of the total salt is removed. The impurities are left behind in the flowing water and the concentrated stream from the membranes is discharged to the ocean.

How Does a Seawater Desalination RO System Work?
Seawater desalination equipment mainly adopts the permeation concept of reverse osmosis membrane. Using the principle of permeation, the reverse osmosis membrane filters the salt in the seawater except the concentrated water, leaving clean drinking water.
